Insight from the Lovers Oracle deck
“Sit quietly with the cards in your hands” begins the instruction booklet of my new oracle.
Since I announced my quest for love, recently shopping with a friend she pointed out the Lovers Oracle, 45 heart-shaped guidance cards, by Toni Carmine Salerno. https://blueangelonline.com/shop/card-decks/oracle-cards/lovers-oracle/. Once again, a why not? gripped me and I purchased the deck. It is fun to have a deck dedicated to love, and the heart shape of the card is unique, the art pretty.
“…Now, in a quiet, gentle voice in your mind, form the question you would like to ask…Be specific and if you are asking about someone, use their name” continued the instructions.
By changing the wording (of your question) you go beyond your current expectations, open yourself to all possibilities, engage your creativity and give yourself choices.
How to use the cards, Lovers Oracle
This morning I drew three cards after asking if a relationship I have with a new acquaintance would stay friends or move to a romantic place. The instructions also said to avoid yes or no answers and to frame the question accordingly.
From the Lovers Oracle I received:
- Friendship – Nurture the bonds of friendship within your relationship and your love life will dramatically improve.
- Transformation – Your relationship with one another is about to deepen. Love conquers and transforms all things.
- Wait? – Don’t rush into it. Allow nature to take its course.
I let these cards sit with me, steeping like a good cup of tea. Is there anything that speaks to me? In fact they all did.
When using anything like the Lovers Oracle, I aim to have an open attitude and if something sticks with me and I find it helpful, then great. I try to stay positive and fluid with it. Sometimes I’ll journal. But mostly day dreaming takes over, considering a more flexible future than my mind constructed prior to the reading.
