The adage that applies manifestation techniques

Once I had a friend who slept on a twin mattress. He was single and wanted to find a long term partner. To my mind, this did not add up. He literally did not have any space for another person in his bed, where one might deduce, he would want to eventually spend time with her. It was as if he was sending a signal out there that he wished to remain single.

If you build it, she will come.

Get a bigger bed was what I said. Prepare your life to welcome in a long term partner, of which the bed is included. And while you are at it, find nice and cozy bedding and pillows, bring in two nightstands and lamps to really make the space inviting and usable.

I recently had a similar experience in my life.

Instead of a bed, I was pondering camping sleeping pads as I was headed out for a short car camping trip. I was looking at a single sleeping pad and a two person sleeping pad, and I was unsure of which to get. Other factors I was considering included price, type of camping, and storage space requirements. The online images of the double sleeping pad included one of a couple relaxing together in their tent on the pad in a serene nature scene. This was calling to me.

Chatting with a friend about how I was torn between the two sleeping options and my upcoming trip my friend commented, “if you build it, he will come.” This made me laugh because she was right! And hadn’t I given the exact advice myself years ago?

So I went with the two person camping pad.

How is this a manifestation technique? Well, I am aligning my present with the future that I wish to call in. I am leaving the door open so to speak. And when I saw the image of the couple on the pad together camping, I was propelled, some say accelerated, towards taking the action that could lead to what I want.

If there was not a baseball field in the film Field of Dreams, then the old players ghosts would not have had an opportunity to make the dream of playing baseball together a reality.

Intentional actions lay the foundation of possibility towards achieving your dream.

I am by no means an expert in the art of manifestation. However, some things do make sense to me. Like getting rid of your single bed if what is desired is a romantic relationship.

Love is around every corner, and joy fills my entire world.
