Say yes to a mind vacation with soundscapes and visual intrigue
Music helped me to make it through my days. At times I just craved an artistic and creative pause. Cue Beirut.
That voice. Soooo enchanting, beautiful, and at times, euphoric. If I could be a male singer and have a beautiful voice, I would pick this one. The voice belongs to Zach Condon, lead singer of Beirut.
How to describe Beirut? Eclectic. Varied instrumentals. Fun music videos. This is the point of this post. Take a few minutes to watch one of the band’s music videos. They won’t disappoint. Rather, you may be disappointed there are not more to choose from. I am.
Music video watchlist from the Beirut Website, http://www.beirutband.com/videos. These are a bit difficult to describe, so a few words that come to mind after viewing are shared.
1. No No No directed by Brother Willis. Quirky, funny, and catchy.
2. Perth directed by Clara Aranovich. Upbeat, interesting, odd
3. Landslide directed by Eoin Glaister. Dreamy, mythical.
4. Gibraltar directed by Brother Willis. Transporting, travel, journey.
5. When I Die directed by Brody Condon. Group experience, strange, altered state.
