I outsourced my dating profile description to ChatGPT

What would Artificial Intelligence, AI, recommend to me to use as a dating profile? I decided to give it a try.

After signing up for a free account at http://www.openai.com, I first asked ChatGPT what makes a good dating profile. I was unsurprised by the answer, typical things like, not too long and not too short, humility, and positivity.

Next I asked it to write me a dating profile, and I specified that I am a woman with two children. Here is what it said:

Not bad…but also not short? Hmm. I was particularly impressed with the line: “Lets create beautiful memories together and make our shared dreams a reality.”

Next I asked it to rewrite the profile with a little more humor. Following is a snippet of the second more funny draft, with this AI caveat: “Remember, humor is subjective, so feel free to add your own brand of wit and comedic flair to make the profile truly your own. Have fun and good luck in your dating journey!”

ChatGPT: Absolutely! Here’s a revised version of the dating profile with a touch of humor:

Not exactly what I was looking for, but no blood sweat and tears on my part. Actually, so far I was finding it all a bit less mortifying that trying to write it all. I am also starting to think I may have been reading AI generated profiles?

So my AI conversation continued. I asked it to shorten the profile and add sass. I asked it for a sexier version. Neither of these spoke to me, and the sexier version was blush-worthy! Yikes.

ChatGPT sexy version excerpt: “So, are you prepared to surrender to the intoxicating allure of a seductive mom like me? Let’s embark on an exquisite journey of passion, ecstasy, and unbridled intimacy.”

Hahahaahhhahahaha! On second thoughts, that might get me a bit more interaction…?

Back to the drawing board of algorithms and bytes and I have no idea how it works really.

My next prompt: Write me a new dating profile, that is short 100 words, funny, but not too funny, a mom who is a survivor and warrior goddess.

ChatGPT: “Mom, Survivor, and Warrior Goddess seeks partner-in-crime for epic adventures and cuddles. I’ve conquered sleepless nights, tantrum tornadoes, and the endless quest for hidden socks. I think I could work with that.

In the end, this was a helpful experiment. Reading the varied suggestions, albeit with nudges to customize and with a warning about being too provocative, was helpful. It was even less cringey than when I first took a stab at it on the dating app. Plus it was quick and easy. I’m inclined to try one of these out and just see what happens.
