Secondary antidote to fear: laughter

Humor is highly underrated. Can you imagine a world without it?

What else can so expertly keep the monsters at bay?

Humor is highly underrated. Can you imagine a world without it? A dry, and dull one, yes. If a picture is worth a thousand words, what is a comic with a caption worth? In my life, laughter has been a powerful ally in combatting fear. This is not based on research, rather is my own insight. Things that make me laugh include:

Bill Bryson. This man is hilarious! The Road to Little Dribbling and In a Sunburned Country come to mind.

Cartoons. From Calvin and Hobbes to the New Yorker Cartoon and everything in between.

Myself. Sometimes I can be funny. But mostly the laugh is at my expense. If you can’t laugh at yourself, what are you doing?

Others. Others are great to laugh at, from my children to strangers on the street. In a respectful manner, of course.

Unreal Actor (Keanu Reeves?). This feed made up of short videos is fun. I like the one about when a lady comes into his life.
